Russellllll, I will miss you. Again. Can we stake Steve now? On his own, he's useless to me.
Okay, can we talk about the kissing? Slowly and in great detail? Because that made me happier than I thought it might. Like, really super can't-stop-smiling happy. Not just because I've been wanting to see Kristin kiss a girl for forever, but because I've been wanting to see Pam happy for forever. Properly happy. I know I came out against it, and I was, because I wasn't sure how/if it was going to work. But it was pretty obvious that that's where they were headed with the fighting and the insults and the loaded glances across a crowded bar, and I had a suspicion that the feels were there just waiting to be provoked. And as;ldfkjsdklfjs they were. Tara is tough and fierce like she used to be (more so, even), and as worthy as anyone other than Eric ever could be. And Sookie's reaction made it art. YOU GUYS. PAM/TARA IS A THING THAT IS BRINGING ME JOY. MADNESS. SHEER MADNESS.
AND ALSKDFJLDSKFJ;ADSLKJ ERIC AND PAM GOT TO SPEAK TO EACH OTHER. WHICH WAS REALLY ALL I WANTED. BUT I GOT BONUS CHEST-TOUCHING AND MUTUAL CONCERN AND ERIC SAYING HER NAME LIKE THAT. I'VE BEEN SO LOST WITHOUT THEM.
So, good times until BILLITH GOES BATSHIT CRAZY WHO KNOWS WHEN AND KILLS EVERYBODY. ERIC. YOU'RE FOUR TIMES HIS AGE. GROW A PAIR. But writing-wise, that was so ballsy, and Definitely Dead is just a whole bunch of things that can't happen, so they had to set up some kind of plot. Alan and Stephen say it may not be as bad as it looks. I hope they mean it. Because it looks pretty fucking bad.
Aaaaaand my life is over for another year. ALAN BALL, I'M GOING TO MISS YOU SO MUCH.
The Newsroom 1x10 was a privilege of which I am unworthy. Every frame was perfect television. I need some way to bottle these feelings.
